What is PRUCare Rider? |
PRUCare is a non-participating term life product that provides financial protection against death/Total and Permanent Disability, attached with PRUCritical Care rider providing financial protection against Critical Illness Conditions. Optional benefits that customers can select include Juvenile Medical Conditions, Extra Gender-Specific Cancer, Pregnancy Complications, Reconstructive Surgery or Skin Grafting, and Diabetic Complications |
Who is eligible to purchase PRUCare? |
You may purchase this plan if you are: 1. Entity registered and operating in Cambodia, or 2. Cambodian citizen or who has been resident in Cambodia for at least 6 months and with bona-fide residential address in Cambodia, aged from 18 – 60 years-old who are Smartphone users.
Can purchase for Juvenile with age from 1 year old onward (Selected benefits only). |
What is the Policy Term duration for PRUCare? |
Policy Term is the period during which life insurance coverage is provided. The Policy Term for this Product is 5 (five) years. |
What are medical conditions that are covered under Critical Illness Benefits? |
Critical illness conditions include: Major Cancer, Heart Attack, Stroke, Other Serious Coronary Artery Disease, and Benign Brain Tumour. |
What are medical conditions that are covered under the Juvenile Medical Conditions Benefits?

Juvenile Medical Conditions include: Leukemia, Insulin Dependent Diabetes Mellitus (Type I Diabetes Mellitus), Rheumatic Fever with Valvular Impairment, Kawasaki Disease with Heart Complications, Severe Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis, Brain Surgery, Severe Asthma, Glomerulonephritis with Nephrotic Syndrome, Severe Epilepsy, and Severe Haemophilia A and Haemophilia B. |
What are medical conditions that are covered under the Pregnancy Complication? | Pregnancy Complications include: Abruptio Placentae, Acute Fulminant Steatohepatitis in Pregnancy, Amniotic Fluid Embolism, Choriocarcinoma and Malignant Hydatidiform Mole, Disseminated Intravascular Coagulation, Ectopic Pregnancy, Placenta Increta or Percreta, Postpartum Haemorrhage Requiring Hysterectomy, Pre-eclampsia or eclampsia, and Still Birth |
What are medical conditions that are covered under Diabetic Complications?

Diabetic Complications include: Diabetic Retinopathy, diabetic nephropathy, and amputation of a foot or hand due to Diabetic complication. |
Exclusion
PRUCare
The Company shall not pay benefits defined in this Provision if the claim of Life Assured is caused directly or indirectly due to any of the following:
- Self-inflicted injuries, attempted suicide or suicide, whether the Life Assured is sane or insane
- A committed criminal offense or an attempted commitment of a criminal offense. In cases where thecriminal offense was carried out by one or several beneficiaries, only the beneficiaries not involved in theaforementioned criminal activity will remain eligible to receive their benefits.
- Drugs or stimulator abuse, abusively using alcohol or driving vehicles under the influence of alcohol as defined in current laws and regulations.
- Pre-existing Condition as defined under Section 1 of this Policy.
In such cases, where the Company declines the claim request due to exclusion clauses above, the Company shall instead pay an amount equal to:
- Total Premiums received by the Company minus
- Any medical examination expenses incurred and borne by the Company if any; minus
- Any outstanding amount due to the company if any.
The Policy shall be terminated with this payment.
PRUCritical Care
The Company shall not pay benefits defined in this Provision if the claim of Life Assured is caused directly or indirectly due to any of the following:
- Pre-existing conditions as defined under Section 1 of this Rider.
- Any illnesses or conditions presenting itself or being diagnosed within the Waiting Period.
- Suicide, attempted suicide or self-inflicted injury or use of unprescribed drugs while sane or insane.
- Commitment or attempted commitment or provocation of an assault or a criminal offense by the Policy Owner, LifeAssured or Beneficiary.
- Effects of drug or alcohol abuse
- Diagnosis was due to, directly or indirectly, congenital anomaly or defect
- The Life Assured dies within the Survival Period as stated in Article 4.8.
If Reconstructive Surgery or Skin Grafting benefit is selected, in addition to the above exclusion conditions, the following exclusions also apply. The Company shall not pay benefits defined in this Provision if the claim of Life Assured is caused directly or indirectly due to any of the following:
- Treatment for any illness or injury resulting from the Life Assured taking part in a dangerous activity or sport regardlessof whether for leisure or as a professional or when an income could or would be earned from the activity or sport.
- Civil commotion, riot, strike, terrorist activities, breaking or attempting to break the law, resisting arrest or anyimprisonment.
- The consequences arising, whether directly or indirectly, from nuclear fallout, radioactivity, any nuclear fuel, material or waste, and war related risks.
